Proudly presenting our hand crafted Amandindas
Our Amandindas are artfully crafted for tonal eloquence, sculptural appeal, and rugged longevity for permanent indoor or outdoor installation. We use Black Lucust (Robinia PsuedoAcasia) from our farm for the posts and keys, fastened together with Swiss-made industrial strength stainless steel fixtures. The two included mallets are made from UV rated polyurethane rod and attached with
stainless steel cable.
Tuning
Our 8 key Amandindas are finely tuned to the C major scale 440hz. The C major scale consists of the pitches C, D, E, F, G, A, and B. Its key signature has no flats and no sharps that allow for free playing as their are no “wrong” notes, so young or inexperienced players can concentrate on rhythm and fun with sound.
Our 10 key Amandinda is tuned to D major pentatonic 440hz. Two octaves of C, D, E, G, A allow for free playing as their are no “wrong” notes, so young or inexperienced players can concentrate on rhythm and fun with sound.
Our instruments can be custom tuned to almost any combination of scales to match existing musical elements or combine several different tunings for more involved composition
Sizes
Our hand crafted amandindas come in 3 recommended sizes:
Height to top of instrument from ground AFTER installation
- 6 feet (Middle School and up)
- 5 feet 6 inches (Elementary school age)
- 4 feet 6 inches (Pre K age)
- 3 feet 6 inches (Toddler age)
These are our standard recommended heights after installation with posts cemented 2 feet in the ground. We can customize the heights to your needs.
Average width is about 48 inches.
